Troubleshooting

Most problems come from keys, permissions or a missing connection. Start here.

A model shows "Unauthorized"

The API key is missing, expired or has no credit. Open Settings → Models, paste a fresh key and click Test.

A task is stuck "Waiting on a model"

The member is waiting for a handoff that never came. Open the task timeline to see who holds it. Usually one of these:

• the sender hit a rate limit (Lumen retries and tells the manager),
• there's no connection between the two members, so the handoff had nowhere to go,
• the sender is waiting for your approval.

The manager keeps relaying messages

Two specialists talk only through the manager. Add a direct handoff connection between them in Crew → Structure. See Handoffs & connections.

A model can't edit a file

Check its folder access and permissions. Write access to the folder is needed, and the action must not be blocked. See Settings & permissions.

Answers feel generic

The member may lack context. Connect a research member to it, or add notes to its memory about the project's conventions.

Still stuck?

Open Help → Export diagnostics. It creates a file with logs and settings but no code, keys or thread contents.
