Installation
Lumen is a desktop app for macOS. Installing it takes a minute; connecting your first model takes one more.
Requirements

| System | macOS 13 Ventura or later. Windows is coming soon. |
| Memory | 8 GB RAM, 16 GB for crews of more than six models |
| Models | An API key for at least one provider |
| Projects | Any local folder. Git is optional but recommended. |
Install the app
- DownloadGet the build for your Mac from the download page.
- Move to ApplicationsOpen the disk image and drag Lumen into Applications.
- Open LumenOn first launch, macOS asks to confirm an app downloaded from the internet. Click Open.
Connect a model provider
Open Settings → Models and paste an API key for each provider you want to use. Keys are stored in the macOS Keychain and never leave your machine except to call the provider.

Tip
You don't need every provider. A crew of two models from the same provider already works. Add more when you need a different strength.
