Connect a repository
Any local Git repository can join a workspace. Models then work on branches, and every change they make is a normal commit you can review.
Add the repository
- Clone it locallyLumen works with folders on your disk. Clone the repository as usual.
- Add the folderDrag it into the workspace sidebar.
- Choose a base branchUsually
main. Models never commit to it directly.
Branches and commits
Each task gets its own branch named after it, for example lumen/fix-token-refresh. The owner commits there. When the work is handed off, the receiver continues on the same branch, so the history shows who did what.
# git log on a task branch
a41c2e1 GPT add regression tests for token refresh
9be07d3 DeepSeek sliding-window refresh in auth/refresh.ts
51f0aa8 DeepSeek extract refresh lock into helper
Pull requests
If the repository has a GitHub or GitLab remote and you've signed in under Settings → Integrations, Lumen can open pull requests for finished tasks. The PR description lists every handoff that led to it.
Tip
Keep .env files and secrets in .lumenignore. See Workspaces & folders.
